As a part of UKLO (University St. Kliment Ohridski), the Faculty of Security is a member of EUA (European University Association), BUA (Balkan University Association), and Magna Charta.

POLISH PLATFORM FOR HOMELAND SECURITY
The Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPHS) is a non-profit organisation that was established in 2005 as a joint initiative between the Polish Law Enforcement Agencies and universities. The primary objective of the PPHS is to foster cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the research community. The organisation is dedicated to enhancing the overall security level of society, with a particular focus on implementing of national and international R&D projects, organising trainings and conducting educational and dissemination activities. The PPHS strives to contribute to the advancement of security measures and practices through its collaborative initiatives.

ANKARA PROBATION DIRECTORATE
Ankara Probation Directorate focuses on working with prisoners. The major aim of the system is to prevent recidivism, to change the offending behavior of the ex-offenders by teaching them legal and functional behaviors instead of offending behaviors. The major responsibilities and duties of this Directorate is to conduct individual rehabilitation sessions, group work and seminar sessions for the reintegration of the offenders who are either released from the prisons after an imprisonment period; who are sentenced directly to probation or who are drug addicts in need of treatment. The directorate plans and manages approximately 40.000 offenders’ probation period annually.
