​​UNIVERSITY REY JUAN CARLOS

Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC) is a young public university with several campuses in the greater Madrid area, whose mission is to foster innovative research and high-quality education in one of Spain’s fastest-growing regions. URJC has managed to grow to 46.000 students and nearly 1.600 lecturers, being currently the third largest among the six public Universities in Madrid.
​URJC has a strong international projection, with an academic community comprising 5000 foreigners from 113 countries. As of the date, URJC has been involved in around 80 European projects including two starting grant and one Consolidator grant and a Proof-of-concept grant from ERC, and programmes H2020, Horizon Europe,  Erasmus+, DGJUST. URJC provides a support office dedicated to Personal Data Protection, Committee on Research Ethics and an Observatory for Gender Equalty, that provide support in these important issues to the research team.

​IPS_Innovative Prison Systems is a boutique research and advisory firm specialising in the field of justice, prison services, community sanctions and measures, juvenile justice, and law enforcement. IPS has extensive experience in collaborating on over 50 innovative projects with correctional services from various countries. These partnerships have led to ground-breaking advancements in staff training and development and inmate rehabilitation outcomes, earning IPS the prestigious ICPA Excellence Award for Staff Training in 2018.

The Faculty of Security is a renowned educational and research institution in the field of security studies within the Western Balkans. It is dedicated to achieving excellence in education, research, and fostering creativity and critical thinking. The faculty's academic staff consists of 28 professors with diverse backgrounds and PhD qualifications. They offer expertise in various areas including security, criminalistics, criminology, police studies, law, and economics. The faculty provides educational programs at all three academic cycles. As a part of UKLO (University St. Kliment Ohridski), the Faculty of Security is a member of EUA (European University Association), BUA (Balkan University Association), and Magna Charta.

KMOP – Social Action and Innovation Centre, established in 1977, is one of Greece’s oldest civil society organisations . It specialises in providing social support services and implementing programmes aimed at empowering individuals and communities, enhancing the well-being.. KMOP established KMOP Education & Innovation Hub, which offers access to a wide range of educational programmes, resources and trainings, capitalising on the knowledge that the organisation has gained from its extensive work in the field. The training programmes provided by KMOP enable individuals and teams to navigate their social ecosystem towards achieving their goals, and contribute to a more inclusive and sustainable future. Over the years, these programmes have positively impacted the lives of more than 17,500 individuals by equipping them with the necessary tools and skills for succeeding in various aspects of life.

​NATIONAL ADMINISTRATION
​OF PENITENTIARIES

The National Administration of Penitentiaries (NAP) is the administrative authority subordinated to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Moldova, which exercises the powers and implements the state policy in the field of the enforcement of custodial sentences, the preventive measure in the form of preventive arrest, the sanction of contravention arrest, as well as the measures of security applied to persons deprived of liberty. The subordinate institutions of NAP are: Special Purpose Detachment "Pantera", the NAP Training Center and 17 penitentiary institutions, each of which has spaces designed and equipped for carrying educational and training activities, spaces intended for practical activities and production activities, with a location in the constituencies of Chisinau Municipality and throughout the entire territory of the Republic of Moldova, including on the left side of the Dniester river (Transnistrian region).

​POLISH PLATFORM FOR HOMELAND SECURITY

The Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPHS) is a non-profit organisation that was established in 2005 as a joint initiative between the Polish Law Enforcement Agencies and universities. The primary objective  of the PPHS is to foster cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the research community. The organisation is dedicated to enhancing the overall security level of society, with a particular focus on implementing of national and international R&D projects, organising trainings and conducting educational and dissemination activities. The PPHS strives to contribute to the advancement of security measures and practices through its collaborative initiatives.

​​ANKARA PROBATION DIRECTORATE

Ankara Probation Directorate focuses on working with prisoners. The major aim of the system is to prevent recidivism, to change the offending behavior of the ex-offenders by teaching them legal and functional behaviors instead of offending behaviors. The major responsibilities and duties of this Directorate is to conduct individual rehabilitation sessions, group work and seminar sessions for the reintegration of the offenders who are either released from the prisons after an imprisonment period; who are sentenced directly to probation or who are drug addicts in need of treatment. The directorate plans and manages approximately 40.000 offenders’ probation period annually.
